Fellowships

We are happy to support independent fellowships to work with in Cavanagh Lab. We can provide support for applications including YUFE Postdoctoral Projects,  Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship, Royal Society Newton International Fellowship, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship, and the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Research Fellowship. The University of Essex offers value-added resources for many of these.

PhD Students

We welcome motivated and curious students to join us for a PhD. We are happy to support funding applications for nationally and internationally competitive scholarships.

Masters by Research Dissertation Projects are available to join the lab for a year and conduct research projects related to: enhancing photorespiration, temperature responses of photosynthesis, and photosynthetic biochemistry. Undergraduate Research

Interested in getting some paid research experience while you study? We host Essex Interns every year - apply on gradintelligence.

We can also support applications for competitive studentships for summer work. If you are interested, please reach out to Amanda before the end January to discuss project ideas.
